Thanks to Peter Wilson a friend and colleague, Annecristie Badiu and all the staff of CAPTA. Drag Syndrome arrives to the eyes of the world and sheds light on a new horizon of possibilities and equality, removing some of the taboos that still surround the world of disability. On the April issues of Newsweek Japan, Sydney Morning Herald Magazine and New Zealand Herald/Canvas Magazine, the pictures and the colors captured by Erik Messori and the worlds of Peter Wilson, result of a 4-months project- are a real flashlight on the world of the Down Syndrome Drag Queens and Kings. That’s a real claim to the transformation, to the love for life and are a real inspiration for whom in the world still believes in the equality as well as in the strength of the fiercest dreams.
I am honoured to part of another great initiative supporting Doctors Without Borders. When I was invited to participate by the Linke Lab staff and Jordi Pizzarro of Bronkey Productions, I was delighted to help. Now it’s your turn: support the PHOTO vs COVID-19 campaign by buying a work by your favorite photographer. This is a one-off chance to buy a 20 cm x 30 cm photograph printed on Fine Art Canson paper for €100. This initiative brings together some of the world’s most outstanding photographers who have donated images to fight the pandemic. All funds raised will go to the Doctors Without Borders / Doctors Sin Fronteras España emergency fund to fight COVID-19.
We are pleased to announce that a new Consultancy and Portfolio Review season is available. Prepare Yourself for impartial Feedback. As all manner of photographers can attest, creative work is often produced in a bubble, with the artist deeply immersed in the processes this entails. While there are obvious benefits to such intensive work and introspective focus, this can also result in a lack of objectivity for how the work fits into or is seen by the wider world. In the face of such challenges, a portfolio review offers photographers a distinct opportunity to gain insights into their work and get valuable feedback. But to make the most out of these meetings, some advance preparation is key.Photographers at entry level and the mid-career level can register for one-on-one photography consultancy and portfolio review via Skype; each review session lasts for 60 minutes. It’s a great way to network. Numerous photographers have walked away with opportunities to exhibit, publish and sell their work after attending the Portfolio Reviews. Now you can book your session!
