Description
Vite Negate by Erik Messori is the photographic exhibition catalog documenting an intimate and uncompromising visual journey into the unseen lives of abandoned dogs in Italian shelters. Made with patience and a deeply respectful gaze, the photographer enters a hidden world, passing beyond steel gates, disinfectant, and rust, not as an intruder, but as a silent witness.
The resulting photographic series lays bare a neglected reality that most choose not to confront. Devoid of theatrics or cheap pity, every frame offers a raw testimony to life: a paw pressed to wire mesh, a head lowered in waiting, a glimmer of trust in a passing hand. There are no captions to simplify or explain, only direct encounters that invite the viewer to remain, to look closer, and to confront the society that allowed these lives to slip into the shadows.
